BCM_Construction_Day 61: Steel framing continues
The steel framing is really coming along and Rebecca got her first look at the new facility.
Workers from the Metal Building Associates team installing some of the steel sides.
Main beams front to back are in place and the roof spars and being joined up.
Worker joining up the roof spars. I’m on the right side of the building with the new Client Theater right in front of me.
Left to right, Contractor Joe McCabe, Greg Thigpen from Metal Building Associates and I believe that’s Sean Thigpen to the right. Sean’s team is the one actually putting the steel up.
Me confirming the window positions on the front of the building with Greg. We decided to add another window to the front to give the building a more uniform look from the road. And yes, that is my very own hardhat I’ve had for years. Guess I was saving it for this project.
End of the day, looking from the back left corner of the building. Directly in front of me is the space for the oversized garage door. That’s going to give us a drive in door for to make for easy load in of equipment.
Standing in the parking lot on the left front side of the building. Those are the metal skins directly in front of me for the siding.
“Time Lapse” view 1. Quite the change from a few months ago.
“Time lapse” View 2. We expect the siding to go up in the new two days pending weather.
Boy a lot has changed since the first images. Pretty soon we’ll be stringing a bunch of images together to see the entire construction evolve. Oh, and “where’s Rebecca” you ask? Well, she was feeling a bit camera shy today so maybe next time I’ll be able to show you how excited she is too!
